HOODL Litepaper

What Is HOODL?

HOODL is a Robin Hood-themed token game built around patience, pressure, and the Sheriff pot.

Every buy adds to the game. Every early sell feeds the Sheriff. Hold long enough and you become a hoodler. Hoodlers can attempt to Robin Hood Token Heist & Outlaw Rewards pot. When a steal succeeds, the loot is shared by active hoodlers and the thief earns a Wanted Poster.

HOODL is an ERC20 token with trading taxes handled through its Uniswap v4 hook. Normal wallet transfers are not taxed, but sending tokens out resets your hoodler progress.

The Sheriff Pot

The Sheriff pot is an ETH reward pool funded by swap taxes.

Buys add a small amount to the pot. Sells add more, especially when the seller has not held for long. The pot stays locked until a hoodler successfully steals from it.

The game is simple:

  • The impatient pay the Sheriff.
  • The patient wait in the woods.
  • The hoodlers split the loot.

Swap Taxes

HOODL taxes only apply through the configured HOODL Uniswap v4 pool.

Buy tax:

  • 2% total.
  • 1% to the team.
  • 1% to the Sheriff pot.

Sell tax:

  • Starts at 10%.
  • 1% goes to the team.
  • The rest goes to the Sheriff pot.
  • Decays over time until it reaches the same 2% level as the buy tax.

The initial sell-tax decay period is 7 days.

Selling resets the seller's hoodler clock.

Becoming A Hoodler

When a wallet receives HOODL, its holding clock can begin.

To become a hoodler, a wallet must:

  • Hold for at least 1 day.
  • Hold at least the minimum HOODL balance.
  • Avoid selling.
  • Avoid transferring tokens out.

Any outbound transfer resets the wallet's hoodler clock, clears pending inbound progress, and removes active hoodler status.

This means there are no shortcuts through wallet hopping. If you leave the camp, you start over.

Adding More HOODLCLUB

Additional inbound HOODL does not instantly inherit the wallet's old holding age.

If a wallet already has an active clock, newly received HOODL is delayed before it counts toward the wallet's eligible hoodler balance. The delay is grouped into hourly buckets. Once the bucket matures, that added balance can join the wallet's eligible balance.

This lets hoodlers grow their stake over time without letting last-second top-ups immediately boost a steal payout.

Stealing From The Sheriff

Only active hoodlers can attempt to Robin Hood Token Heist & Outlaw Rewards pot.

Steal chance is based on two things:

  • How long the wallet has held.
  • How much eligible HOODL the wallet holds.

The initial steal settings are:

  • Minimum hoodler age: 1 day.
  • Full-power age: 7 days.
  • Balance for maximum power: 1,000,000 HOODL.
  • Maximum steal chance: 50%.
  • Steal cooldown: 1 day.
  • First steal unlock: 3 days after public trading starts.

The longer you hold, the stronger your chance becomes. The more eligible HOODL you hold, the stronger your chance becomes. A wallet cannot keep trying over and over because every attempt consumes its cooldown.

If a steal fails, the Sheriff pot stays locked and the hoodler must wait before trying again.

If a steal succeeds, part of the Sheriff pot becomes claimable loot for active hoodlers.

The first steal is delayed until 3 days after public trading starts. This gives public buyers time to become hoodlers before the Sheriff pot can be raided for the first time.

Loot Distribution

Successful steals are shared by active hoodlers based on eligible HOODL balance.

If active hoodlers collectively hold 1,000,000 eligible HOODL and one wallet holds 100,000 eligible HOODL, that wallet receives about 10% of the stolen loot.

Rewards are claimed by each hoodler instead of being sent to every wallet in one transaction. This keeps the game usable even as the holder count grows.

Wanted Posters

The wallet that successfully triggers a steal receives a Wanted Poster NFT.

The loot goes to the hoodlers. The glory goes to the thief.

Wanted Posters are designed as a separate NFT collection with upgradeable metadata and rendering modules, so the poster art and metadata format can evolve without changing the core game.

Supply And Launch

The intended HOODL supply is 140,000,000 tokens, a nod to seven score.

The intended launch split is:

  • 28,000,000 HOODL (20%) for the whitelist fair launch.
  • 112,000,000 HOODL (80%) for the public curve.

Both phases target a 50 ETH starting fully diluted value.

The initial whitelist window is 1 hour. Whitelist eligibility is based on an off-chain snapshot, and each whitelisted wallet has its own allocation of 50 HOODL per eligible SLOP.

If the whitelist reserve sells out, the sellout buy closes the launch in the same transaction. If it does not sell out before the window ends, the first attempted public v4 swap closes the launch automatically and the remaining whitelist reserve is burned.

After the whitelist phase closes, public trading continues through the HOODL Uniswap v4 curve.
